Our noise curfew is 10pm. We are very strict on this because we want every camper to enjoy their experience. Please only use headphones after 10pm and respect those who are camping around you.

No. We do not allow guests to move from one site to another during their stay at Rivernook. Our checkout time and checkin time have multiple hours in between and there isn't a place on the campground to wait it out.

Check in is 3pm. And check out is 11am. We do our best between those hours to clean and ready your site. And while we cannot guarantee it will be ready before 3pm, you can always ask and we will check with our maintenance crew and let you know.

Our refund policy is rain or shine. The good news is that rain or shine, Kernville and the Kern River offers a lot of outdoor and indoor options for things to do. Check them out here.

No. We allow day visitors to your site, you only pay the $6 per night extra person fees for those (over 14) who are staying overnight.

For cancellations, please email rivernookfrontoffice@gmail.com. Full refunds are issued 30 days prior to the date of arrival. No refunds or credits are issued within 30 days of arrival. There is a $10.00 cancellation fee for all canceled reservations.

Campfires are permitted unless specified by the office. NO BONFIRES. Keep fires in the fire rings that are set up at each site. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR FIRE UNATTENDED and also put out your fire (completely) before you check out.

Pets are welcome with no charge, but we ask that you keep them on a leash and pick up after them. There are doggy bag locations throughout the campground, and we ask that only service dogs go into the restrooms.

No. Tent sites are strictly for tents...and people.

At Rivernook, our tent sites are much larger than a typical tent site. You can park your car at your site.

Unfortunately no. The health department of California forbids tents on sites with septic hookups.

Generators are not allowed at Rivernook. We instead love to hear the sounds of nature and laughter!

The Kernville (Forest Service) Ranger Station is .08 miles away from Rivernook and offers two 8kwh charging stations. The Ranger Station asks for a $1 donation in order to charge your vehicle.

8am-4pm. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. (closed on Wednesdays) 8am-5pm Friday, Saturday.

We do not allow cancellations or rescheduling reservations due to weather. If the roads are open, we are open.
